Student Life Rec Camp is a Christ-centered camp for current 6th-7th grade students. It includes engaging worship from experienced worship leaders, learning through sound biblical teaching and Bible study, community in LifeGroups, and fun!

Where is Rec Camp?

Rec Camp will be at Ridgecrest Conference Center in Ridgecrest, NC, right next to Black Mountain. Rec Camp is run by the organization known as Student Life.

Who is allowed to attend?

This trip is for current 6th-7th grade students.  There will be other churches in attendance with students ranging from 6th-12th grade.

How much does it cost?

$435. A $100 deposit is due at the time of registration. The remainder is due no later than June 15, 2021.

What is the adult to student ratio?

The adult to student ratio is 1:7.

When is registration?

Registration is January 11, 2021 until May 1, 2021 or until capacity is reached.

What meals will be provided?

All meals will be provided from dinner on July 25, 2021 until breakfast on July 29, 2021.  Students will not be fed lunch on July 29, 2021.

What about transportation?

FHC will be providing transportation in the form of charter buses.  Buses will leave the South Park campus July 25, 2021, and they will return to the South Park campus July 29, 2021.

What will the daily schedule be like?

There will be morning and evening worship sessions that will include worship and a message.  In the late morning and early afternoon groups will have either recreation programming or bible study, depending on their schedule.  The late afternoon will contain free time for students to hang, connect, and participate in other activities.



Registration opens on this page on January 11th, 2021. Please keep in mind trip registration fills up quickly. To complete your registration, we need two things from you:

  • Registration payments must be paid in full [or a payment schedule must be in place] by June 15th, 2021.
  • All information in the First Step section in Camp Docs must be filled out no later than May 1, 2021.

Your registration is not confirmed until these two requirements have been met. Failure to meet these two requirements will result in your registration being waitlisted.


Make sure the email address on your CampDoc profile is correct. Email communication will go out regularly to the email address used to register your child and will include important information for camp. You can update your email address by emailing us or by updating your CampDoc account.

If you don’t receive an email from within 2-3 weeks from the event, you may not be added to our list correctly. Contact us immediately to remedy this.


If your student or child is unable to attend Rec Camp for any reason, please let us know right away so we can fill your spot. Should you need to cancel, you have until June 15, 2021 to receive a full refund. Any cancellations after June 15th will receive a full refund, minus the initial deposit of $75. Cancelling too close to the event could result in a loss of all payment.
